چکیده

In connection with railway scheduling problems Guldan [6] considered the problem to place Y regular polygons on a circle such that the minimum distance between two neighbouring vertices becomes as large as possible. This corresponds to the situation that trains which arrive in constant intervals at some railway station are scheduled such that the safety interval between two trains is as large as possible. In this paper we drop the assumption of regularly arriving trains. We consider trains arriving according to some fixed periodic pattern and optimize different objective functions: maximizing

Compensatory growth, proximate composition and amino acid contents after experiencing cycles of feed deprivation and re-feeding in young yellow catfish (Pelteobagrus fulvidraco R.)

The compensatory growth, proximate composition and amino acid contents changes of young yellow catfish (Pelteobagrus fulvidraco R.) (1.63-1.69 g) had been investigated using a 45-day cyclic feed deprivation and re-feeding experiment. The control group (S0) was fed daily with live tubificid worms (Limnodrilus hoffmeisteri), while the S1/4, S1/2, and S1/1 groups cyclically experienced one-day of ...

Cyclic Scheduling

In this paper we consider the problem of cyclic schedules such as arise in manufacturing. We introduce a new formulation of this problem that is a very simple modi cation of a standard job shop scheduling formulation, and which enables us to use existing constraint reasoning techniques to generate cyclic schedules. We present evidence for the e ectiveness of this formulation, and describe exten...

The cyclic compact open-shop scheduling problem

We consider a variation of the classical nonpreemptive open-shop scheduling problem. For the normal open shop, finding whether a schedule exists in T time units is NP-complete [2]. The main difference with the classical model is that we will consider so-called periodical or cyclic schedules; this means that the schedule obtained is repeated periodically. If the length of a period is k time unit...

Marked Point Process for Severity of Illness Assessment

Electronic Health Records (EHRs) consist of sparse, noisy, incomplete, heterogeneous and unevenly sampled clinical data of patients. They include physiological signals, lab test results, procedural events, clinical notes. Such data can be treated as a temporal stream of events of varied types occurring at irregularly spaced time points. We focus on modeling the temporal dependencies that arise ...
